Dominion Dance Company holds a high standard of excellence, skill and professionalism when choosing our staff members. Our team includes individuals that have a passion for dance, a heart for the children in our community, and inspire our dancers to be the best they can be. Our desire is to teach as well as challenge our dancers to excel in fulfilling their dreams, building character and poise while seeing the world. We want our dancers to see that anything is possible when you put your mind to it and do the work. You can be assured your dancer will develop all of these skills and more with the staff at Dominion Dance.

Kenyelle Taylor

Gracious Classic Poised

Kenyelle Taylor knows that successful dance students become successful adults. For 25 years she’s been teaching dance classes in an effort to make a lasting impact in dancers lives. In 2007 she founded The Dominion Dance Company with the sole mission to bring a premier dance experience to all dancers including dancers of color.
Introducing dancers to the competitive dance world through local and national and even international dance competitions, Ms. Kenyelle continues instill hard work, good morals, poise and confidence into the dancers of Dominion Dance. A competitive dancer at Butterfield Gallery of Dance (6 years) and Hollywood Studio of Dance (1year) Ms. Kenyelle knows the dedication it takes to train for performance and competitions. After high school Ms. Kenyelle furthered her education at Tuskegee University as an economics major which birthed our senior scholarships available to any graduating senior at Dominion Dance Company.

Ronisha Palmer

Beauty Grace Kindness

Ronisha Palmer is our new Officer Manager. Since she was a little girl, Ronisha dreamed of being a dancer and choreographer. She started dancing as a young girl and eventually attended F.A.I.R Middle school where she was formally introduced to the world of performing arts, dance and acting. As she also is a singer, she has traveled with choirs as well as performed at various events. She was one of the founding members of the Hip-Hop dance team at Edina High School where she obtained her High School education. She later joined the corporate industry and gained over 8 years of clerical and office experience. Through out her career she gained her passion for business and customer service and her goal to offer our families the best experience possible. We are so excited to have her.

Pavielle Versalles

Passionate Graceful Flawless

Pavielle Versalles is a Minnesota Native who trained with Minnesota Dance Theatre & School and later performed in company at MDT. She has studied at Miami City Ballet, Dance Theater of Harlem and under the fellowship program at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. She has had the honor of perform works by Loyce Houlton, Lise Houlton, Jean Emile, Zoé Henrot, Jeffery Hankinsen, Dwight Rhoden and Hope Boykin. Currently, Pavielle resides in Minnesota and as a ballet coach. Under her training, Pavielle's students have gone on to receive scholarships to premiere ballet academies and have received national recognition at Youth America Grand Prix.

Sylvia Borash

Excited Talented Passionate

Sylvia Borash grew up in Brainerd, MN and danced at Music General for 15 years. She trained in various styles including tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, hip hop and ballroom. Sylvia also studied under choreographers Mike Minery, Jennifer Silvas, and Melody Lacayanga. In the fall of 2016, she moved to Chicago, IL and joined Mark Yonally’s Chicago Tap Theatre as an apprentice. She is also a current member of Break the Floor’s newest tap company Loose Screws. She’s choreographed solos, duos, trios, and group dances for various studios across Minnesota and has taught dance classes for 6 years. Sylvia is excited to start classes and can’t wait to share her love of tap dancing with the dancers at Dominion!

Brittany Wright

Versatile Confident Intelligent

Brittany Wright is a native of Los Angeles, CA. Her family was in the entertainment industry and performing arts became a huge of her life at an early age. At the age of 2, she started dancing and singing at The Los Angeles Academy of Performing Arts. Upon moving to Minnesota, she became a competitive gymnast at Tartan High School. After her first child was born, dance became a huge part of her life as her daughter was introduced to to the world of competitive dance. Brittany has taught preschool classes in creative movement, ballet, tap and acro at Linda Kinlaw School of Dance and is currently teaching acro at MYTD as well as Dominion Dance Company.

Rachel Miller

Graceful Passionate Experienced

Rachel has been dancing since the age of 5 at various studios throughout Minnesota, including Studio 4 Dance where she trained for six years. She is trained in ballet, contemporary, lyrical, modern, hip hop, jazz, musical theater, and tap. Graduating from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a BFA in Dance in 2018- she has had the opportunity to have worked with artists from New York, Los Angeles and the Twin Cities area including Jessica Castro, Sidra Bell, Gregory Dolbashian, Wynn Fricke and Gerold Casel. She has also trained in intensives in Italy and LA, performed backup for Tori Kelly and the Official Prince Tribute Concert, performed 11 shows with company Shapeshift at the famously-known John F. Kennedy Center and much more. Rachel pays it forward as she is in storytelling hip hop/contemporary dance company, Shapeshift and contemporary dance company, Black Label Movement. Rachel teaches/choreographs movement/technique in contemporary, hip hop, lyrical and ballet.

Ja'Shae Johnson

Energetic Fun Determined

A native of Minneapolis Minnesota, Ja’Shae has always had a passion for movement. since she was born, she's been moving to any beat or sound. She started taking dance more seriously at Hopkins High School, being a member of the Hip Hop group Deeply Royal where she worked to become head captain. After graduation, Ja'Shae faced many challenges which made her decide to start pursuing her goals, dreams and aspirations.  Despite the odds, Ja’Shae put one foot in front of the other and is now seeing her dreams manifest in her life. The scripture Mark 11:24 gave her courage and helped her become the business owner of Sweat It Out dance studio, a high intensity cardio dance class. She also started teaching hip hop with Dominion Dance along with surrounding dance companies.
